It's a match made in pop music heaven! In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Tuesday, Elton John revealed that he and Lady Gaga are collaborating on her new album.

"I'm writing with Gaga tomorrow," he told Lowe on his radio show. "I've heard two songs, which are killer. They're just great songs. It's like back to the early stuff of hers, like 'You and I' and the Bruce Springsteen one—as I always call it—'Bad Romance.'"

In a recent interview with Billboard, Mother Monster discussed how Sir Elton and her Cheek to Cheek collaborator Tony Bennett played crucial roles in keeping her happy after her last studio album didn't do as well as expected. "When the whole industry turned their back on me during Artpop, they were the ones who said, 'Hey, this is a blip. It's going to go away.'"

As for when we'll be able to hear her new music, Gaga is remaining coy.

"I am putting out an album this year," Gaga said in the Golden Globes press room last week. "I won't tell you when. It is coming out this year."
