Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo may have kept the arrival of her new baby girl Sienna May Ivery, who was born via surrogate, a secret for two months, but there's no denying the actress still has that beaming, motherhood glow about her. Pompeo visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night, where she candidly discussed why she and husband Chris Ivery kept the news of their second daughter secret until now. "This baby was born via surrogate, so I felt an obligation to keep the surrogate's privacy."

Host Jimmy Kimmel shared the photo that Pompeo posted Instagram of the adorable new addition to her family:

Pompeo, who looked positively radiant in red, happily explained the entire process to Kimmel and revealed how she was there to support the surrogate mother every step of the way.
