At Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards, Ellen DeGeneres made history by winning three more PCAs, bringing her total number of trophies to 20, the most of any celebrity. But on Thursday's episode of her show, the comedian dedicated a segment to another history-making figure: President Obama.
On our 44th president's last day in office, DeGeneres put together a hilarious (and emotional) tribute to Barack and Michelle Obama spanning their eight years leading our nation. "Today is the last day that Barack Obama will be our president. I want to personally thank him for changing my life. I am a legally married woman because of him, and so is my wife," she said to a cheering audience.

"His courage and compassion created equality for everyone. He moved us forward and made more happen in the past eight years than I ever dreamed possible. I love him. I love Michelle. Here's a little bit of time we spent together over the last eight years."
The talk show host then showed a montage of their most adorable clips together, including Barack's very first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2007 as a young, smooth dancing presidential candidate.
