Elle Fanning is no stranger to the spotlight—she’s been acting since she was two, trailing big sis Dakota on her venture into childhood stardom. This year in particular, the younger Fanning has really come into her own as an actress, and a grown-up one, at that.

The younger Fanning sister looked radiant on Sunday at the Hamptons International Film Festival screening of her latest film, 20th Century Women—a dramedy set in the 1970s starring Hollywood heavyweights Annette Bening and Greta Gerwig.

The 18-year-old was decked out in a knee-length lilac gown for the screening, evoking springtime nostalgia with its floral beaded overlay. Fanning paired the elegant dress with a waist belt just a shade darker than her sequined ensemble, a set of silver sandals, and a polished topknot.

Fanning’s makeup lent the look just as much cool girl elegance as her outfit. She went for a fresh vibe, marrying a subtle golden shimmer with a pale blush and a youthful pink lip.
