Eddie Redmayne may be nominated at Saturday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards for his role in The Danish Girl, but the British actor is gearing up for his most important role yet: dad.

“It's quite a few months away, but we started looking at all the logistics," he told E!’s Giuliana Rancic (who’s a mom herself to 3-year-old Edward Duke Rancic). "The list of things you're meant to get before going to the hospital ... it's a long list of stuff right there!"

Cutting quite the handsome figure on the red carpet in a perfectly tailored Dior tux, the nominee for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role also confided that he’s excited about all the fun things to come—including the toys.

“We have this sort of dream of like wooden toys, and all that, and everyone's like, 'Yeah you always start off like that, but you end up with like, iPhones!'"

Redmayne and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, announced in December that they’re expecting their first child, but they aren’t letting the busy awards show season slow them down. Here’s wishing the couple the best during this exciting time.
