People magazine’s choice for the 2016 Sexiest Man Alive is rock solid! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was honored with the title, and Ellen DeGeneres had the unique opportunity of surprising the hunky star with the news.

For Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host presented an overview of Johnson’s life, titled, “The Evolution of a Sex Symbol.” DeGeneres walked through the star's early days of fanny packs and pencil-thin mustaches and showed hilarious photos from the actor’s youth and time as a WWE star.

“However, fame finally arrived when he adopted his bad boy image as ‘The Rock.’ He was on top of the world but gave it all away to follow his true passion: being a tooth fairy,” she joked, showing of Johnson in a pink leotard and wings from the 2010 film Tooth Fairy. “No tutu could hide the sexiness that simmered just below the surface, and soon a sexy movie star was born.”

“And so, we salute you, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, for all you’ve overcome to be the sexy hunk of man meat you are today,” she joked as the actor squirmed in his seat.

“Thank you so much. That was so good. I’m scared,” he said, clearly aware that an announcement was about to be made.

“I’m here to announce—and this is the first time anyone is hearing this—you are People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive,” DeGeneres said to whopping applause. Johnson let out a hearty laugh and a big smile as he walked over to see the cover.

While honored by the news, the Moana actor said his daily life will remain very much the same. “I think the transition is going to be easy, yes,” he said. “I can tell you now that what this means is I still have to drive in my pickup truck and change Jasmine’s diapers, but now I’m the sexiest man alive.”

Jasmine—Johnson’s 11-month-old daughter—has another title for her dad: drum set. “One of her favorite games is drumming on daddy’s head. It’s what she loves to do,” The Rock joked.
