Drew Barrymore to Pen a Series of Autobiographical Essays
Drew Barrymore is marking her 40th birthday in a very personal way—with a book. People confirms that the actress is set to publish a collection of autobiographical essays with Dutton. "I love stories that are humorous, emotional and welcoming, and that is my goal in writing this book," Barrymore said.
According to People, the as-of-yet untitled tome will feature multiple stories about Barrymore's famous life, including living on her own at 14, saying goodbye to her father, and being a mom. "We are thrilled to welcome Drew Barrymore, a true American icon, to the Dutton list, and can't wait to help bring her wonderful writing to the world," Ben Sevier, the publisher of Dutton, told the magazine.
This isn't Barrymore's first foray into the world of books—last January the actress published a photo book, Find It In Everything. Just add it to the ever-growing list of things this multitasking mom does: acting, directing, producing, running a cosmetics business, making delicious wine, and being a seven-time InStyle cover girl.
