Lily James, who played Lady Rose MacClare on the last three seasons of Downton, is set to star in the film as writer Juliet Ashton, who travels to Guernsey Island to meet with members of Literary and Potoato Peel Society, with whom she had started up a correspondence during the island's Nazi occupation. Jessica Brown Findlay who portrayed Lady Sybil Crawley Branson in the first three seasons, Matthew Goode, who played Henry Talbot in the fifth and sixth seasons of the show, and Penelope Wilton, who played Isobel Crawley in all six seasons, have joined the cast as well, according to IMDb.
