Fashion Accessories Tech Download This! Why Hukkster's New App Feature Is Like Tinder for Shopping By Wendy Sy Published on May 14, 2014 @ 04:56PM Pin Share Tweet Email Photo: Courtesy (3) Whether you’re searching for your soulmate or for that perfect LBD, finding true love can be complicated. But sometimes love just takes a flick of your wrist. Taking a cue from the success of the highly addictive swipe-right, swipe-left feature of dating app Tinder, sales tracking tool Hukkster is applying a similar concept to shopping. This new feature to the Hukkster app, called Hukk or Not, launches today in the iTunes App Store. Users can browse and swipe an endless product feed of items from more than 300 stores, including Anthropologie and Shopbop, in a clean, gallery-like display. A swipe can add an item to a wishlist or discard it. Once an item is "Hukked" and saved, you can select your preferred size and color. Notifications via email or text will pop up the moment the product gets marked down. Bonus: Hukkster goes beyond just end-of-season clearance items by also aggregating coupon codes, friends and family sales, and site-wide promotions. “We wanted to create an even more simplified version of our tried and true shop section. There’s always a moment in time where you’re waiting in line, or bored at night before bed, and that’s really what the Hukk or Not feature is for,” co-founder Erica Bell tells InStyle.com. What will she be swiping for? “Summer shoes—that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend.” Download the newly updated Hukkster, available now for free on iTunes.
