Diane Kruger Spills the Secret to Her Flawless Travel Style

Every time Diane Kruger hits the airport, she does it in style. And we're constantly left wondering about how she manages to look so put together whenever she steps off a plane (see below photo of Kruger recently arriving in Paris for proof).

But the key to the star's effortless-yet-chic travel style is actually all about comfort, she told InStyle last night at God's Love We Deliver's ninth annual Golden Heart Awards in New York City. Her secret weapon? "Mostly flat shoes, for sure," said Kruger. "And then comfortable pants."

While arriving in Paris, France, Kruger finished off her pattern-happy outfit with a stylish hat.

While those may be her go-to pieces when heading off for a trip, Kruger was far from casual at last night's event. The dinner, which was co-chaired by Michael Kors, raised funds to provide life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling to New Yorkers living with serious illnesses. When it came to getting involved in the cause, Kruger didn't have to think twice—especially when the request came from Kors himself.

"Michael asked me," said Kruger, who was wearing a belted blue gown by the designer. "I heard about the charity at a polo event over the summer, and I knew that Michael was really involved in it. So he asked me if I wanted to come join, and here we are."

Stars including Kate Hudson and Emily Blunt were also in attendance.
