Derek Lam wants you to start working out. The designer's contemporary collection, Derek Lam 10 Crosby is collaborating with the athletic apparel brand Athleta on a new athleisure line, Women's Wear Daily reports.

Collection items will include a two-in-one sweatshirt-shirt, washable leather pieces, a poplin shirt, denim as well as leggings, and bra tops, with prices ranging from $58 to $388. The line will be available at Athleta stores and Lam's 10 Crosby location in New York City from September.

Nancy Green, president of Athleta, told WWD, "It's exciting to have a designer collaboration when it's the right one. We don't believe we have to have one every season, but if the right opportunity to partner comes up, it's great. It complements our collection and gives a wider variety to our customer."

Lam is the latest designer to add momentum to the athleisure trend. Rebecca Minkoff recently announced that she will release an athletic wear–inspired collection in the spring and it followed news of Beyoncé's launch of an athleisure brand with Topshop and Carrie Underwood’s upcoming fitness line, as well as sporty collections from Urban Outfitters and Loft last year. Even Chanel is making sneakers!
