Demi Moore Flaunts Her Toned Abs at Zac Posen's MAC Cosmetics Celebration in L.A.
Tinseltown is in full glam mode in anticipation of Sunday’s Oscars. But Thursday afternoon inside Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House in Los Feliz, Calif., Hollywood’s A-list had a different topic of conversation on the tip of their tongues: Zac Posen’s new, covetable selection of colorful, red carpet-inspired beauty essentials for MAC Cosmetics.
So where did the beloved designer turn to for inspiration for his latest project? “Glamour. Modern glamour. The essentials of modern glamour,” he told InStyle. "Somebody, an empowered woman who is in touch with her feminity and control, is not afraid to be feminine and beautiful and have that pizzazz." To find muse-like women, Posen didn’t have to look too far.
Dressed in a long, pleated black skirt with a matching crop top that showcased her killer physique, Demi Moore expressed her adoration for her longtime friend to InStyle. “Zac is a part of what I would say is my chosen family,” said the actress, who accessorized with black rimmed glasses and orange pointed-toe pumps. “Today was a representation; it was intimate, elegant, and felt in that way loving and a family. And he’s just a powerhouse. I’m constantly inspired by how much he is doing and with the incredible positivity of how he rolls through with everything he’s doing.”
Speaking of family, Moore’s gorgeous daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, were also on hand for the intimate affair. Dressed in a sublimely tailored Posen suit, Rumer was amazed by the location. “This house is unreal and the fact that they’ve done it and kept the integrity of it is just magical. I have to say my favorite part is the bathtub that’s sunken into the ground. That’s probably one of the coolest things,” she told us.
For Scout, who arrived in a mix of Posen pieces and her own designs, Zac’s colorful aesthetic sparks her attention. “I love the playful sort of humorous side of it,” she told InStyle. “He’s sticking to what he does best, while still evolving and becoming better. I was just at his show in New York, and it was so inspiring and really beautiful. It was a great collection.”
Between munching on dishes like Farro salad and “Torta Della Nonna” dessert (think: pine nuts with mascarpone crème), actresses Molly Swims and Selma Blair caught up with each other—while also delivering the pizzazz Posen spoke of. So what, above all, does Sims appreciate about Posen? “I love that he loves women, and he knows how to dress a woman. He loves curves. He has a bit of structure … but it’s a little undone.” Amen to that.
