In honor of the upcoming Grammy Awards, we’re rolling out a series of pitch-perfect cocktails inspired by this year's nominees for Best Record of the Year. Each drink was dreamed up by Evan Charest, mixologist for the Patina Restaurant Group and the official caterer for the awards show.

If you haven’t yet given it a listen, Grammy-nominated record “Really Love” by D’Angelo is a dreamy R&B tune that opens with a Spanish guitar and a mysterious woman whispering seductive sweet nothings. Drawing from these details, Charest created a variation of a classic whiskey-based cocktail. “Inspiration came from the opening of the song, which is in Spanish, so I wanted an agave-based Mezcal drink,” explains Charest. Try the recipe below and pour a round for your loved ones.

All the Love

2 oz mezcal
½ oz aperol
¾ oz fresh lime juice
1 dash angostura
½ oz simple
Lemon peel
