When Kendra Wilkinson shimmied her way onto the dance floor last week for her samba with Louis Van Amstel to "Livin' La Vida Loca," we did a Dancing With the Stars costume double take. Audrina Patridge wore a similar look last season! To get to the bottom of it, we asked the show's costume designer Randall Christensen about the similarities. "The foundation of the costume is a four-way stretch lyrcra, on which we layer rows and rows of fringe," he told us. "Audrina and Kendra have very different styles on the dance floor, but beads and micro minis work sensationally on them both!" While the fabric and materials are the same, the hemline and the neckline are different, and Christensen did so to enhance different areas of their bodies. "I try to keep Kendra in those micro minis to elongate her legs," he said. "Audrina's legs are quite long, so the flouncy ruffled hemline added even more action to her legs when she danced."
