Watch: 9 Dance Moves from Beyoncé's 2016 VMA Performance That Will Change Your Life
Beyoncé set the stage on fire (literally!) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards with an incredible 16-minute performance of hits from her visual album Lemonade. The former Vanguard Award winner proved why she’s one of the best in the business with a fierce medley of her girl-power anthems.
Queen Bey changed out of her angel wings into an ethereal floor-length white cape and wide-brim hat for “Pray You Catch Me,” “Hold Up,” and “Sorry,” taking a baseball bat from the audience, swirling it around as she did in her video and whacking it into a camera.
Performing “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” Bey rolled around as flames engulfed the stage. The star went classic Beyoncé in a long-sleeve black bodysuit and knee-high boots to slay us all with her hit, “Formation,” hitting every mark and proving that she’s as good of a dancer as she is a singer.
In fact, her dance moves were #lifegoals. And so in honor of her killer booty shaking, her twerking, and her serious hair flipping, here 9 dance moves you must see from her epic performance.
