Work on Fifty Shades Darker is well under way and Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are getting along famously. The duo was spotted (above) filming the highly-anticipated sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey at Palais Garnier in Paris on Monday. From their perch on one of the opera house's grand balconies, the co-stars chatted animatedly between scenes, pausing at various points to check their phones and snap a few photos of the massive crowd that had formed beneath them. In character as Anastasia Steele, Johnson looked gorgeous in a burgundy lace dress that fell just above the knee, while Dornan (aka Christian Grey) sizzled in a slim-cut navy suit. At this point, they've definitely smoothed things over since we left them at the end of the first movie, right?

The actors spent the previous few weeks filming (and hitting the beach) in the south of France, before the Bastille Day attack halted production. In the wake of the attack, producer Dana Brunetti assured fans of the cast's safety: "Everyone has been accounted for and is safe and sound."

The sequel continues the tale of the steamy, yet ill-fated, love affair between Ana and Christian; however this time, Ana breaks things off with the enigmatic billionaire to focus on her budding career in publishing.

Fifty Shades Darker begins heating up theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
