Dakota Johnson Dedicated a Scene in Fifty Shades Darker to Her Mom
Dakota Johnson's mom, Melanie Griffith, has vowed to never see the entirety of her daughter's racy Fifty Shades franchise, but that didn't stop Johnson from burying an homage to her famous mom within the film.
The 27-year-old, who reprises her role as Anastasia Steele in this month's Fifty Shades Darker, told the Today show's Hoda Kotb that there's one scene she'll ask her mom to tune in for. "There is a moment, there's a little surprise moment, especially for my mom in this movie. I can't share it, because I don't want to spoil it, but she won't ever see it. Maybe she'll see this one specific little clip."
"Will people watching it understand it right when it happens?" Kotb asked, intrigued by the buried Easter egg.

"I think so. I hope so," Johnson said. This isn't the first Fifty Shades film that Griffith will only see bits and pieces of. Last year, she told E! that she'd watched "a little bit" of the film but that "I just can't quite bring myself to watch the love scenes."
I mean, can you blame her? Catch Fifty Shades Darker when it hits theaters Feb. 10, and try to pick out the hidden tribute to the Working Girl star.
