Happy Birthday, Cynthia Nixon! See Her Transformation from Sex and the City Star to Political Candidate
It’s Cynthia Nixon’s 52nd birthday, and while we still remember her as the redheaded Miranda Hobbes on Sex and the City, her days as a ginger are long gone. The actress has made some major changes since playing Miranda, and her hair has gone through quite the transformation.
Along with her look, her career has also changed since her time on SATC. In March, Nixon announced that she was running for governor of New York, making the jump from actress and producer to political candidate. The 52-year-old is a progressive, running on a campaign that highlights gun control, mass incarceration, and fixing the New York City subway as three of her biggest issues to tackle.
Should she win, Nixon would be the first openly gay woman to hold the position. The former SATC lead married her wife, Christine Marinoni, back in 2012.
In honor of her birthday, check out Nixon's dramatic hair transformation, from her big-screen debut in Little Darlings to her Sex and the City years and gubernatorial bid for N.Y.C. in 2018.
Happy birthday, Cynthia!
