If you’re a fan of California’s laid-back style (hello, boyfriend jeans), then it’s probably safe to assume that you’re already familiar with cult-favorite ready-to-wear brand Current/Elliott. Launched by celebrity stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott in 2008, the brand is beloved for its modern take on classic Americana style and its killer denim selection.

Nestled in a prime spot on Venice’s ultra-cool Abbot Kinney Blvd., Current/Elliott’s first-ever dedicated brick-and-mortar store perfectly encapsulates the brand's modern-vintage vibe. The 1,500-square-foot shop, which opened its doors late last year, seamlessly blends into its Venice Beach locale, housing Current/Elliott’s famous range of premium denim, as well as its line of must-have basics for that done-but-undone, casual-cool look (the perfect white button-down: check).

Huge, welcoming teak and glass sliding doors, worn-in natural leather furniture, thick oxidized maple planks and and slabs of marble in soft, neutral colors make the shop feel both thoughtfully curated and comfortably lived in—a mix that’s only achievable by a truly authentic California brand. It’s like a Lana Del Rey video come to life, minus the anguish.
