Crayola Now Has Coloring Books for Adults
Crayola is hopping on the trend of coloring books for adults, releasing a line of intricately drawn pages that grown-ups can spend hours filling with colors.
Crayola says its “Color Escapes” line of books and art supplies offers “a soothing, creative experience that’s easy to do and easy on your mind.” The kit includes four collections—nature, kaleidoscope, geometric, and garden—and there are even markers and colored pencils marketed toward the 18-and-up crowd.
What has long been considered an activity to keep kids busy has increasingly been adopted by adults seeking stress relief.
“Coloring offers that relief and mindfulness without the paralysis that a blank page can cause,” writes Julie Beck in the Atlantic. “It’s easier in the way that ordering from a restaurant with a small menu is easier than deciding what you want at Denny’s, where you could eat almost anything.”
