Conquer Your Fear of Heights With Reese Witherspoon's Voluminous Updo
Afraid of heights? While we may not be able to help you conquer your fear of walking a tight rope, getting a voluminous coiff like Reese Witherspoon's is no sweat. With the elegance of an Edwardian updo and the appeal of a messy bun, this style is a head-turner.
To recreate the look, the star's hairstylist Adir Abergel recommends misting volumizer onto damp strands. Dry hair before loosely curling it with a hot iron. Section off hair at the top of your head; take the few remaining pieces, twist into small knots, and pin. Tease the sectioned piece, and use fingers to coax height along the hairline, fastening ends into one of the knots in back. Finish with a veil of hairspray -- we love L'Oreal's Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold ($15; drugstore.com).
