My Coachella: Ashley Greene Sounds Off on Which Festival Trend Needs to Die
As an avid Coachella goer—this year marks her fifth time at the festival—Ashley Greene knows what she's getting into. And that means being well aware that the three-day desert gathering is more like a fashion show than a destination for live music. "Coachella is just getting bigger and bigger, and the fashion is definitely following suit," the Twilight actress told InStyle at the POPSUGAR x Coachella CFDA brunch hosted by Jonathan Simkhai at the Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif. "All the stores now have designated sections specifically for the festival." Below, she shared her packing strategy and the one "bohemian" trend she just can't get on board with.
In Her Suitcase: Feathers, fringe, and flash tats are always a must, because you can accessorize any outfit with them. I always bring a couple of hats, sunglasses, and layering pieces also, because it gets so cold at night.
Her Closet: I always pack for myself and my girlfriends. We have a master closet set up at the house, so we all go in and get dressed together.
Beauty Essentials: Sunscreen, moisturizer, and hydrating lip stick. I like ColourPop.
Festival Trend She Never Wants to See Again: People walking around naked. I saw one girl walking around with denim cut-offs and pasties on. There's so much fun stuff you can wear, why limit yourself?
Favorite Coachella Memory: I'm not gonna lie, Tupac's hologram was pretty epic.
