Ciara Shares Touching Tribute to Cancer-Stricken Fan Who Passed Away
Just a couple months after Ciara and Russell Wilson put smiles on the faces of sick kids at Seattle Children's Hospital, one of their biggest fans there has passed away.
Upon hearing the news of Kamrey Russell's death, Ciara headed to Instagram to post a touching tribute to her, sharing a photo of herself sitting in Kamrey's hospital bed with Wilson. "Dear Kamrey, you have no idea how inspiring and motivating this moment was to us," Ciara began. "While I am truly heart broken to know you are no longer here on this earth, I am finding peace in knowing you're in a better place. Rest in peace angel."
Kamrey previously gushed over her meet-up with the couple when they visited the hospital, posting the same photo with the caption, "This, this was amazing & motivating." In the photo, Kamrey wore a T-shirt that read "FUCANCER."
While they spent time with her that day, Ciara and Kamrey had some fun on Snapchat with the puppy filter, and the "I Bet" singer shared a clip of it on Instagram. "The Best Snapchat Of My Life Just Happened! Visiting Kamrey With @DangeRussWilson At @seattlechildrens Today. She's So Beautiful, and Lights Up A Room! #StrongAgainstCancer."
Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks star shared their group photo (at top), writing, Kamrey is a fighter! We believe! @SeattleChildrens @Ciara." Wilson has already returned to the hospital to spread love to more children and teens there, with the quarterback sharing photos of himself spending time at the hospital Monday.
