Though our invitation to Ciara and Russell Wilson’s wedding seems to have gotten lost in the mail, we do know that the happy newlyweds, hands down, hosted one of this year’s most glamorous ceremonies inside Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Yes, the 30-year-old star made her bridesmaids glow, but it was her very own gown that stole the show.
For her big day, Ciara tapped Robert Cavalli’s Peter Dundas to design her dream dress. The two have a years-long friendship and the beauty has previously starred in the brand’s campaigns. “Ciara is a dear friend so making her dress was a labor of love,” Dundas said in the below ‘gram of the custom Cavalli Couture piece.
So what was the all-white, princess-like design made of? It featured a “tulle bell sleeves mermaid silhouette,” explained Cavalli in the Instagram post below. "The unique bridal creation is composed of white silk tulle, fully embroidered with floral motifs throughout, and delicate glass beading, covered entirely with precious Chantilly lace appliqué," he detailed in another. Dundas was, of course, on hand to make sure every inch of the dress fit Ciara sublimely just moments before she walked down the aisle.
Bridal dreams truly do come true.
