Christina Aguilera, One Direction Albums Out Today

It's a big day for both current and past teen pop star royalty! Christina Aguilera's new album, Lotus, featuring the thumping lead single "Your Body," is out. And U.K. boy band One Direction released its sophomore record, Take Me Home. This is the seventh studio album for Aguilera, currently a mentor on The Voice, who rose to fame ("Genie in a Bottle," anyone?) during the teen-ruled music era of Britney Spears, *NSYNC, and the Backstreet Boys. Meanwhile, Niall, Liam, Harry, Zayn, and Louis—who, lest we forget, got their start on the original British broadcast of The X Factor—have picked up where those other heartthrobs left off. Just this morning they gave the largest Today show concert ever. Trust us: We walked by Rockefeller Plaza on the way to work, and the female screams emanating from the crowd were the loudest we've heard in years.
