Christina Aguilera's First New Album in 5+ Years Is "Coming," She Says
What a girl wants ... is more music from Christina Aguilera.
The vocal powerhouse has laid low in recent years after dropping her seventh record Lotus way back in 2012, but fans won't have to wait much longer for a new album from the songstress! She revealed big news Monday night.
In an Instagram Story, Aguilera let fans know that she's totally on top of it. She posted a meme that showed her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a post-it over it saying "Dear Christina Aguilera, Where the F— is the new album??"
Her clear caption response?
"It's coming bitches ..."
Be still our Aguilera-obsessed hearts. While we haven't been graced with a new Christina album in more than five years, she has, in all fairness, released new stuff. In 2016, she dropped the song "Telepathy" for the soundtrack of The Get Down. That same year, she released "Change," a song dedicated to the late Christina Grimmie and the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting.
She's kept busy with singles here and there, award show tributes, and her a judging gig on The Voice that spanned through 2016, but this is the first we're hearing of a full-fledged eighth album, and it's reason to get excited.
Let 2019 (or even 2018) be the year of new Christina Aguilera music, please and thank you.
