The actor wondered if his wife was “like the Joker.”

Dating is hard, even when you’re one of the most famous men in the world, or an actual Kennedy descendant.

In the first episode of Rob Lowe’s podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, the actor sat down with fellow Parks and Recreation alum Chris Pratt, and the conversation quickly turned to Pratt’s wife Katherine Schwarzenegger’s “unmistakable laugh.”

"Your wife has one of the most unmistakable laughs,” Lowe told Pratt, to the Guardians of the Galaxy star’s agreement.

“The first time we started dating, the first few days she was laughing so much, like, I was like, 'God, I'm really killing it,’” Pratt shared. He was first linked to the author and animal advocate in June 2018, about 10 months after he and ex-wife Anna Faris announced their separation.

But too much of a good thing led Pratt to question whether there was an underlying issue. "Then, she was really laughing. I was like, 'Uh oh, oh no. Does she have an issue? She's got a thing going on. This is why she's single.' I thought she was like the Joker," he said, referencing Joaquin Phoenix’s character in the 2019 film who suffers from a condition that causes uncontrollable laughter, known as pseudobulbar affect (PBA).

And though we’d really hope Pratt wouldn’t break up with someone because of their laugh (which would veer dangerously near to the storyline of an actual Seinfeld episode), the concern was all for naught and his worry soon turned to endearment.”It turns out she doesn't have that issue. She just thought I was funny and it was really nice.” In fact, Schwarzenegger's sense of humor is a great complement for the actor: "For me, it really works because I'm always trying to make people laugh and so, she likes to laugh, I make her laugh, it's a good fit.”

The newlyweds celebrated their 1-year anniversary earlier this month and are currently expecting their first child together. Pratt also shares a 7-year-old son, Jack, with Faris.
