After weeks of teasing out her triumphant return to the pop charts on social media, Charli XCX is back with a brand-new single, "After the Afterparty," and it's really, really good. The song—the first off of her forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album—features the British singer's trademark electro-pop synths and pulsing bass, along with a catchy, melodic verse by rapper Lil Yachty.

"It's basically inspired by partying," she told InStyle on a recent visit to our offices to play the new song. "It's just about getting wild and keeping it going forever and ever." In an Instagram post earlier today, she also encouraged playing it at any and all costume parties this weekend. Accompanying the release will be a "fashion zombie-style" music video, appropriately dropping on Halloween.
