Forget Breakfast at Tiffany's. We want dinner at Chanel. That's what 100 insiders and stars got last night when the famed French house kept their Robertson Boulevard store in Los Angeles open after dark to host an intimate candlelit dinner supporting Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that provides 100,000 low-income children with basic necessities (learn more at Jennifer Garner, Lawren Howell, and Baby2Baby co-founder Kelly Sawyer co-hosted the affair, which brought out supporters including Rachel Bilson and Selma Blair while raising money for the organization.

"We all want children to have the things that they need," Blair told InStyle as the event kicked off at cocktail hour inside the boutique, where glasses of Perrier-Jouët champagne flowed like water amongst trays of smoked salmon bites and fried cheese puffs.

"When you’re lucky enough to have things to donate, just donate. I do it as an activity with my son. He gets that we’re always giving our clothes and our time for other kids." Rachel Zoe, a board member of Baby2Baby, echoed the good intentions. “Every minute of my life is for kids and to help kids in every way that I can," she said.

As the party moved toward dinner, the nearly 100 guests ventured outside the store and onto the gorgeously-lit back patio of the boutique to find a Parisian-inspired brasserie recreated in the courtyard. Red peonies tucked in silver pails topped black and white marble tables, while orange candles in glass holders softly glowed. Each menu was personalized for an extra special touch.

Garner kicked off the portion of the evening by toasting to the founders of Baby2Baby, Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer (at top, left). "How often do we all have an idea of how to make the world a better place and actually make it happen?" Garner said. "That’s what these ladies have done."

Soon, as guests feasted on summer salads mixed with figs, burrata, and braised beef short ribs, the conversation turned from serious to fun. After all, it was Chanel, and the stars in attendance, who also included Jenna Dewan Tatum, Ellen Pompeo, Molly Sims, Shiri Appleby, and Rebecca Gayheart, were decked out in the label's designs. Zoe picked her look because she loved "the metal circles at the top," she said, while Bilson chose her outfit more for function.

"This is the first time I’ve been out in a very long time and to be wearing Chanel for the first night out, I feel very fortunate," said Bilson, who gave birth to daughter Briar Rose Christensen in November 2014. "I tried on a lot of different things. I must admit, it's really hard to get dressed with boobs. I’m still breastfeeding, so it’s new territory. I liked this because it's different—and it worked!"

Garner sipped Margaux throughout the night, and conversation spilled on for hours about how to continue the good work of the cause. The only thing that made night even sweeter? A dessert assortment of chocolate and lemon tarts.
