From long blonde layered locks, Lopez (at top) went for a major chop with a caramel lob this past summer. "It's short but it’s still feminine and she can still pull it back. The length is perfect—it offers versatility and feels fresh," says her longtime hairstylist Oribe.

Kim Kardashian

The iconic brunette traded in her dark strands for platinum blonde in March and in the process, the Internet nearly broke (again). Though the star once told us that "brunette is who I am," we wouldn't be surprised if she continues to turn heads and headlines next year.

Gabrielle Union

The Being Mary Jane actress snipped her usual shoulder-length strands into an edgy bob in September. Wavy ends gave the look a casual-cool touch.
