Carrie Underwood's New Fitness Line Will Make Your Sweat Sessions Way Cuter
Carrie Underwood brought more into the world than just her first child in the last week—she also launched her first-ever fitness line, named Calia by Carrie Underwood. The collection is filled with pieces that will take you from workout to errands and beyond, including spandex pants, sweat-wicking tops, ultra-padded bras, carryall gym bags, and even yoga mats and foam blocks in girly pastel colors and floral prints, all starting at $8.
The goal, she told us several weeks ago, is to inspire #fitspo before and after a trip to the gym: "It makes a difference when you feel good about yourself when you start your workout," she said. "Why not be able to put on clothes that are cute and easy? As someone who is passionate about health and fitness, I’m excited to offer women a wardrobe that will move with them and encourage them to stay the path of leading an active lifestyle."
We celebrated the release by working out in one of her outfits—the floral capris ($65), matching headband ($15), seamless peach tank ($35), and dip-dye cocoon sweater ($79)—at the new buzzy New York City Orange Theory Fitness, and can tell you they are just as comfy as they are cute. (Underwood couldn't be there because of the newborn, of course, but she did create the playlist—a mix of her fave hip hop songs and some of her own). The workout included some of Underwood's go-to moves: squats and lunges. "Even when I have more weight being pregnant, I do a ton of those. Going up and down is my thing. Backstage before a show, that's what I'm doing."
At the peak of the workout, when we hit maximum output and sweat dripped down our foreheads, we looked up from our treadmill monitor and saw the floral pants reflected in the mirror and thought: "Still look cute." If Underwood wanted us to feel amazing before and after a trip to the gym, she succeeded. Thanks, girl.
The line is available now exclusively at Dick's Sporting Goods and dickssportinggoods.com.
