As the country music star took time to whip her hair into shape following a Tampa, Fla. stop on her Storyteller Tour Wednesday, she also soothed her 20-month-old son who sat in her lap for a cuddle. In the sweet black-and-white photo that the 33-year-old mom shared on Instagram, she can be seen curling her blonde locks in front of a mirror as little Isaiah Michael Fisher wrapped his legs around her. "He doesn't care that Mommy had to get ready for a show ... all he knows is that he woke up cranky from his nap and needed a cuddle ... and I was more than happy to comply. #multitasking #momlife #roadlife #thestorytellertour," she captioned the snap. Carrie Underwood's Little Boy Is Completely Mesmerized by the Big Apple It's not a huge surprise that the singer was curling her own hair in her trailer though. Underwood previously told People she does her own hair and makeup on the road, saying it gives her a sense of peace before she hits the stage. "I'm a person and I'm a lady, and I like to do my own makeup and hair," she said. "On red carpets, somebody else has to do it for me because the lights can do weird stuff with your face. But on the road, it's my zen time before the show." She also makes sure that her trailer is not only a comfortable scene for herself, but also her baby boy. "My bus is outfitted for him—he has a crib in the back, and everything is safe there," she said. During her down time from the tour, Underwood bonds with Isaiah outside of the trailer, too. "On days off, we look for parks and zoos and aquariums," she added. Her tour wraps up at the end of November, just in time for the holidays and plenty more family fun.
