Inspired by the black-and-white photography of Cecil Beaton, Carolina Herrera’s spring 2013 bridal collection included delicate touches of black. "I wanted to design a collection based on the beauty he portrayed—the blacks, the whites, the fantasy of it all,” Herrera said. “This is not a collection that is occupied by trends, but one with a more personal purpose.” And the designer found new ways to add a personal touch: She accessorized many of the 21 dresses (and one pantsuit) with jewelry from her own collection, and secrectly embroidered the waist of each look with the bride’s initials in blue.
