Need some poppy prints to get you in the mood for spring? Look no further than Carolina Herrera's Archive II Collection, which is packed full of the designer's amusing and vibrant prints. Herrera has chosen six patterns from her vast print library to reintroduce for spring 2014 in a range of sleek and simple silhouettes. The epitomy of effortless chic, the Archive II Collection contains everything from day dresses to pencil skirts to capri pants, all made from cotton and covered in eye-catching patterns.

The six whimsical prints Herrera chose to resurface each have a significant place in the House of Herrera--Botanicals is a floral design inspired by an illustration Herrera discovered at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art; Marilyn Toile incorporates the portrait of Marilyn Monroe in a hot pink tromp l'oeil; Zodiac is an ode to a mirror compact the designer received from her husband in the shape of a crescent moon; Love Letters is an expression of her enjoyment for writing handwritten notes; Sparrows is dedicated to the social creatures that are a certain sign of spring as well as Herrera's favorite bird; and Swimming Ladies alludes to the serenity and calm of Herrera family trips to Punta Cana.

The playful collection will be available mid-April at Carolina Herrera stores and on carolinaherrera.com. Add a piece--or two!--to your wardrobe to prep it for sunnier days.
