There are two things I can count on when watching Riverdale every week: Betty and Jughead might break up, and Veronica's hair will always be perfect. Her almost-black hair is always blown out and free of flyaways, no matter Bughead's status.
It's her character's good hair days, along with her own red-carpet styles off-screen, that landed Camila Mendes her first beauty gig as John Frieda's newest influencer.
The brand announced today that Mendes is joining its Your Hair Talks, Make a Statement Campaign, a community of empowered women that all have something to say, starting with their hair.
Mendes shared the news on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes shot from the campaign.
Mendes will team up with John Frieda to create content based on her personal hair story. "My hair has always been a definitive part of my personal style, so I love being part of a campaign that celebrates hair as a form of expression,” Mendes said in a statement from the brand. “I’m excited to join Your Hair Talks, Make A Statement with so many other bold, inspired women.”

Like many of us, Mendes's relationship with John Frieda began while flipping through one a fashion magazine. The brand's classic Frizz Ease Extra Strength Serum ($10; target.com) became her go-to product for whatever style she was trying to achieve.
Guess we do have something in common with Veronica Lodge after all.
