Bryce Dallas Howard knows the art of high-low dressing—even on the red carpet. The Jurassic World star was one of the first actresses to arrive at the 22nd annual Critics’ Choice Awards, turning heads in a plunging canary yellow gown. But surprisingly, she wasn’t dressed by a high fashion designer for the big night.

Instead, Howard turned to Topshop for a $250 off-the-rack dress with a deep-V neckline and thin black straps, and this isn’t the first time she’s shopped for a gown IRL for an award show. At the 2016 Golden Globes, the actress revealed that she picked up her Jenny Packham dress off the rack at Neiman Marcus.

“I like having lots of options for a size 6 as opposed to maybe one option, so I always go to department stores,” she said at the Globes.

Proving that high-low dressing translates just as well on the red carpet, she paired the $250 dress with Miu Miu heels and Irene Neuwirth jewels.
