Broadway-Inspired Makeup Is Having a Moment—and These Collections Hit All the Right Notes

Broadway is looking beautiful these days and in more ways than one. Both Inglot and MAC have launched collections inspired by two top-selling shows on the Great White Way. First up, Inglot's Mamma Mia collection, which draws upon the gorgeous Grecian setting and ABBA-charged soundtrack, includes a full range of technicolor shadows, sparkling body powders, gel liners, nail polishes, and coordinating lipsticks among many other pastel-toned products. The lineup celebrates Mamma Mia's title as one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history (one of five total!), and the bold color palette complements the equally bold wardrobe we've seen onstage.

If working a blue lipstick isn't exactly your thing, opt instead for MAC's classic red lip duo inspired by Kinky Boots. We're obsessed with the matte-finish lipstick ($16), which gets an added dramatic element when layered with the high-shine lipgloss ($15).

This isn't the first time each brand has shown their love for musicals---Inglot currently has a Lion King-inspired collection on the market, and earlier this year, MAC erred on the edgier side of dramatics by launching a range paying homage to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fashion Fair cosmetics has also gotten in on the fun with a lineup nodding to Cinderella on Broadway, and previously celebrity manicurist extraordinaire Deborah Lippmann created a trio of nail lacquers inspired by Wicked.
