A Britney Spears biopic is, of course, incomplete without young paramour Justin Timberlake on the scene.

The former pop power couple once dominated the mainstream media, and to this day, their coordinating denim moment is still liable to bring a smile to the face of pretty much any American who lived through the game-changing era.

Without a Justin to the film’s Britney, history would be re-written.

The Lifetime movie, Britney, will chronicle Spears’s epic rise to fame, and the dark personal and professional moments she’s endured along the way.

Back in August, it was revealed that Natasha Bassett (Hail, Caesar!) would play the titular pop star, but the cinematic fate of Brit’s early leading man has remained unclear, until now.

Today it was announced that 30-year-old actor Nathan Keyes will play Britney’s young Timberlake, and judging by his clean-shaven good looks and dreamy blue eyes, it seems he’ll do the role justice.

Though Spears’s camp says that the film does not “have her blessing,” it’ll be difficult to turn away from the made for TV spectacle.
