The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are just around the corner, and what better way to amp up the show than by adding Britney Spears as a performer? The superstar took to Instagram today to announce that she is set to grace the stage at the event for the first time since 2007, and she shared an epic video teasing her sure-to-be amazing performance. In the clip, the camera pans through a dressing room packed with memorabilia of the 34-year-old's past VMA visits—a python slithers across the floor in a nod to her iconic 2001 performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U" at the annual ceremony. "The VMAs don't just give you a stage. They give you a story, some way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever," Spears narrates in the video. "Before you know it, it's history." Rihanna Set to Receive Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards But just what can we expect from the pop princess this time around?
