Brazilian Beauties Team Up: Alessandra Ambrosio Is Named the New Face of Schutz
If all things bold and beautiful hail from Brazil, then the Schutz 2014 summer shoe collection is no exception. Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, the new face of the brand, stopped by the Schutz Madison Avenue flagship store in New York City last night to help launch the sexy footwear brand's latest line (and show off some of her favorite styles).
"I used to go to Brazil all the time and I would bring back a lot of Schutz shoes in my suitcase. They’re super cute and they have so many different styles, plus they’re comfortable and the quality is great," Ambrosio tells InStyle.com. "For me as a Brazilian it is an honor to be chosen as the face of their brand." Fresh off the plane from Los Angeles, the 32-year-old bombshell said she had spring on her mind when she chose a vibrant red Cushnie et Ochs dress that complemented her jewel-encrusted Schutz sandals. "I really love the rhinestones on the sandals," she says. "I have many, many styles that I like, but for tonight these felt really special."
Resident Schutz designer Alexandre Birman greeted shoppers—including starlet Jamie Chung— while they listened to house music from DJ Elle Dee, sipped champagne, and posed for pics with models sporting paper masks featuring Ambrosio's famous face. From colorful suede pumps and booties with chain detailing, to fringe bags and over-the-knee lace-up boots, Schutz is certainly putting the sizzle onto the scene for summer.
