Brad Pitt is back on the Hollywood scene following news of his split with Angelina Jolie. The thesp made his first red carpet appearance since that announcement, popping up at the Los Angeles premiere of his film Allied Wednesday and thanking fans for their words of encouragement.

"It's really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here," Pitt told reporters, according to People. "It's really nice to have all the support."

Pitt seemed to be in good spirits while he attended the event, looking dapper in a black suit and white button-down top. He took time to sign autographs, talk to fans, and pose for photos on the red carpet with his costar Marion Cotillard before heading inside.

The mom-to-be was all smiles too, and complemented Pitt's simple yet sophisticated look in a sleek navy blue gown that hugged her growing baby bump.

The event marked the second time this week Pitt has been out and about in Los Angeles to support one of his films. He made his first public appearance Monday at a private screening of Moonlight, which his production company, Plan B, partnered with A24 to produce. While he was there, he kept a low profile, but posed for a snap with his good friend Julia Roberts.
