It was the Instagram that launched a thousand [erroneous] wedding bells. After Billy Ray Cyrus posted a photo of his daughter Miley Cyrus wearing a white dress that set the Internet ablaze with wedding rumors Friday, the patriarch of the Cyrus family wants to set the record straight: Miley and Liam Hemsworth are not married.

The photo in question is a picture of a picture of Miley (stay with us) looking happy in an ethereal white dress with mountains in the background. Billy Ray originally captioned the 'gram with "I'm so are happy," but edited it after fans assumed it meant the pop star and her longtime love had tied the knot.

"Whoa! Don't jump the gun. Been at work #StillTheKing Glad to see so many love @MileyCyrus the same as I do #happy," he amended the caption to read.

Miley's manager also confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair had not gotten married. "It was just some great photos that happen to have been taken in a white dress," he said.

As for the couple in question? They've been suspiciously quiet about the whole thing. In fact, Miley, who is usually a prolific Instagrammer, hasn't posted on the popular social media platform in more than a week.

It looks like all we can do is wait. Seriously, what do we have to do for a good celebrity wedding around here?
