Just what kind of sparkler would one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors present to his fiancée? That's a question that crossed all of our minds after hearing about George Clooney's engagement to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

Clooney got down on one knee to propose to Alamuddin, 36, and presented his wife-to-be with a stunning ring on April 22. And now, we're finally getting a closer look. It features an ethically mined emerald-cut diamond, estimated at 7-plus carats, People reports. Two tapered baguette stones sandwich the mind-boggling principal gemstone and they're set in platinum. What's even sweeter is that Clooney, 52, helped design the one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
