Our favorite moneyed moms of Otter Bay may have seemingly rid us of Nicole Kidman's fictional husband Perry (played by Alexander Skarsgård) in the first installment of Big Little Lies, but insiders are teasing a return of his legacy in the upcoming season.
During Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, executive producer Jean-Marc Vallée, who is handing over his directorial duties to Andrea Arnold, hinted that the show's villain would continue to reign in part two of the popular HBO series. “Well there’s a new character coming. Perry's mother, that’s all I can say,” the 54-year-old told Entertainment Tonight.
While Perry, who is dramatically killed by Zoë Kravitz’s Bonnie in the first season finale, has remained a mystery when it comes to his history of violent behavior, we’re looking for that all to change with the introduction of his mother.
However, insiders are staying mum on potential choices for the role, with Michelle Pfeiffer shooting down any speculations that she would be starring in the upcoming season. The Scarface star, whose husband David E. Kelley is an executive producer for the series, told the publication, “I don't think so. Nobody's asked me.”
Stay tuned for more secrets ahead!
