Beyoncé, Solange, and Family Goof Around on the SNL Stage
If there's one thing you should know about Beyoncé, it's that she's the biggest supporter of her family. She stepped out in full force for Saturday Night Live, to watch younger sister, Solange Knowles, make her debut on the hit weekend TV program.
And the love didn't stop there for the A Seat at the Table songstress: brother-in-law Jay Z, mom Tina Lawson, and husband Alan Ferguson also stopped by for extra words of encouragement. For the big night in New York City, the gorgeous trio of ladies took it back to a tradition they've had in their family for decades: picking Solange up in a sweet and hilarious gesture. Watch it here:
Social media is a fave of all three women, thus they posted video evidence of the charming moment on Instagram. In it, Solange exclaims, "I'm 30 years old!" But clearly, her mother and older sister still treat her like the baby of the family. "She's still our baby. We have been picking her up like this since she was 10 yrs old. On the legendary SNL stage," captioned mother Tina Lawson on Instagram.
Big sister Beyoncé also shared an Instagram video montage of the family members as they goofed around on Rockefeller Plaza's Studio 8H stage:
And after the show was the after-party! Following Solange's performances of "Cranes in the Sky" and "Don't Touch My Hair" and the family's on-stage Instagram session, the group migrated to a restaurant to celebrate (along with SNL cast member Leslie Jones.
Beyoncé couldn't be missed in a dazzling black and white Alice McCall dress ($450; alicemccall.com).
The standout sheer gown was on-trend with its midi length, long sleeves, and all-over spot tulle fabric. Scalloped trim and sultry slits gave it an added dose of whimsy, while her berry-hued lips injected a pop of fall-perfect color. A sleek ponytail and oversize hoops finished the look off with perfection.
