The Carter clan defines what a royal family looks like in 2016.
Just moments after Queen B took the stage in her leather DSquared2, Michael Jackson-inspired “Formation” getup at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, the former Destiny’s Child singer took to Instagram to offer a glimpse at all of the pre-show, behind-the-scenes action. As she’s done in the past, the 17-time Grammy award winner released a stream of stylized images that not only amped up the hype for her 2016 Formation World Tour, but also shined a light on her troop of leather-clad dancers.
It wasn’t her roster of independent women that racked up the likes, though. The 34-year-old Houston native also stirred the pot by sharing a rare image of herself preparing for the performance with husband Jay-Z and their adorable 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
In the shot, the rapper cheekily snaps a shot of his two girls while Beyoncé and Blue Ivy hold hands and look out onto the empty field. Of course, Blue Ivy seems to be comfortable watching mom deliver her always-empowering vocals as she’s seen in another picture running about the field as Beyonce holds up the mic.
So can we expect the toddler, who makes an adorable cameo in Beyoncé's new "Formation" video, to star in more of mom’s music videos? We think it’s just the start.
