Kevin Mazur/Getty Images; Instagram/lineupbrewing The Bey-inspired brew launched for a limited time in October 2016, but due to its immense popularity, Lineup owner Katarina Martinez decided to relaunch the Beyverage in November of this year. “As a Hispanic, female run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage,” Martinez told Pitchfork of the motivation behind Bïeryoncé. Sadly, Queen Bey (or at least her legal team) didn’t take the compliment as Martinez hoped—the brewery recently received a cease and desist letter over the pilsner in question. “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!” Martinez continued. So … I guess that means patenting Beyoncé’s Hard Lemonade is out of the question?
