Beyoncé announced her new song, "Die with You," with a short video of her performing it which she shared on her Facebook page. The beautiful, simple video features Bey sitting at the piano in a black baseball hat and "Thriller" T-shirt and playing and singing a soulful tune. At the end of the clip, the cameraman reveals himself to be husband Jay Z. Beyoncé shared the song on April 4, the couple's seventh wedding anniversary.
The full song was exclusively released on Tidal, Jay Z's new streaming service, which he launched last week.
While not too much can top a beautiful new ballad from Beyoncé, but a good contender is Rihanna debuting a single. The artist performed "American Oxygen" for the first time on Saturday as she welcomed the Final Four teams into the NCAA Basketball Tournament. She had a headlining set at the March Madness Music Fest at Indiana's White River State Park.
Snippets of the song had been heard throughout the month in ads promoting the basketball tournament, but this was the first time the song was performed in full. Watch Rihanna's full performance in Indiana:
Clearly, the crowd wasn't the only one having fun that night. Rihanna wrote on Twitter after the show:
Thank you Indiana!!!! I would never forget how much fun I had with you tonight!! You blew me away!!! Thank you man!! One love always— Rihanna (@rihanna) April 5, 2015
Like Beyoncé, Rihanna's new song can also only be heard on Tidal (subscriptions start at $10 a month).
