This IRL Olympic Couple and Banana Republic Just Made Fencing Fashionable
If you’re looking for love, maybe it’s time to take up fencing.
The sport is what Olympians Ysaora Thibus and Race Imboden share in common and now the fashion world is taking notice. Banana Republic tapped the couple for its spring 2018 campaign and in it, they let their sense of cool and love for the sport—and each other–come forward.
The duo model pieces from the brand’s portfolio meant to remind you that the clothes are made to actually live and move in. Imboden wears the “Rapid Movement Chinos,” which we'd venture to guess can handle quick movements, and Thibus wears the “Devon Utility Legging,” which is super flexible thanks to a stretchy fabric.

You’d never know these two are Olympic atheletes simply from the looks of the campaign. Throughout the images, they really do look like Banana Republic models—ones brought together by Cupid himself.
Thibus competed in and represented France at the 2012 Olympic Games while Imboden won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics. Scroll down to see more from the campaign.
