On Monday Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing took to Instagram to introduce his latest project: Balmain Kids. The 30-year-old designer is bestowing 6-to-14-year-olds everywhere with the gift of a 55-piece collection of top-notch goods that’ll mimic the glam, militaristic ensembles of Balmain’s men’s and women’s collections from the past five years, WWD reports. “These are the same looks that, over the years, moms and dads have repeatedly pleaded with me to produce for their kids,” Rousteing told the oulet. So will the mini versions of the designer’s creations live up to the expectations of the brand’s A-list clients? The collection, set to drop at Balmain boutiques and balmain.com in July, will reportedly include fur coats, jeans in Japanese denim, white tuxedo jackets, and zebra-pattern tops. The pieces range from $205 for a sleeveless T-shirt to $5,950 for a black dress—which means kids had better start safeguarding their allowances immediately. Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Cindy Crawford Reunite for Balmain's Spring 2016 Campaign Does this mean Rousteing will soon head to Instagram celebrate on with an adorable pre-teen #BalmainArmy? We certainly hope so.
